Helpful Editing Tips Using TED Footage!
As we finish up the TEDx Navesink edit, I thought this link seemed timely. This TED blog post not only gives some helpful editing tips, but it applies them to some TED related examples. How fun!
But, my favorite part about this post is that you can not only read the tips, but you can see them be put to use. Kari Mulholland, this blog post’s writer/TED video editor, takes her tips and shows them in short video examples. For example, she advises that sometimes it may be effective to cut on action, or to cut on words. After briefly describing what each of those mean, she shows a visual description using the actual editing technique. Brilliant!
